OPENING EXPOSITIE “AGA LAB PRINT 60 JAAR
\nVrijdag 14 september om 17:00
\nDe expositie van ruim 80 kunstenaars, wordt feestelijk geopend door Fenna Ulichki, voorzitter van stadsdeel West. Tijdens de opening is er een ronde-tafelgesprek met verhalen van een aantal gebruikers, kunstenaars die print artistiek toepassen op steen, textiel en conceptueel: Elma Oosterhof, Sophia Bentoh en Dennis Munoz Espadina. Gespreksleider is Maze de Boer, multidisciplinair kunstenaar werkend met installaties, video, fotografie en geluid, en tevens bestuurslid AGA LAB.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Over de gasten aan tafel
\nElma Oosterhoff maakte bij AGA LAB vooral kleuren litho’s op groot formaat en werkte als beheerder. Haar hart ligt nog steeds bij de werkplaats en ze vertelt vol enthousiasme over AGA\u2019s oudere verhalen van vroeger.<\/p>\n

Printontwerper Sophia Bentoh lanceert haar eigen zeefdruk-ontwerpen in een nieuwe collectie met de naam Ibileye. Het thema: Afrikaanse roots ontmoeten punk uit de jaren tachtig. Bentoh presenteert een caleidoscopische combinatie van expressieve etnische tekeningen, grafische vormen en ritmische kleuren.<\/p>\n

Dennis Munoz Espadina is een jonge conceptuele kunstenaar, hij heeft een master afgerond op het Sandberg Instituut en nu net een Startstipendium van het Mondriaan ontvangen. Enkele projecten: Hocus Bogus Publishing, Wishy Washy Performance Event – Wash-O-Matic Amsterdam, Performance Rainerai tijdens Manifesta, Zurich. En werkte als vrijwilliger bij Knust@AGA LAB veel met riso.<\/p>\n
